Our facility also offers a qualified and professional collection service at the patient's home.
To request it, simply contact our office directly and agree on the day and time. The operator will go to the patient's home equipped with suitable material for collecting samples for each type of examination. The service is paid by the patient, not included in the cost of the services.

Testing for COVID-19 - AG Spike Research of SARS COV.2.

Serology for COVID-19 - IgG and IgM Antibody (Ab) Research (we look for any neutralizing antibodies present, which are correlated to the presence of IgG that recognize the Spike protein and the Sars-COV-2 nucleoprotein)

The new Coronavirus belongs to the "Beta genus" COVID-19 is an acute disease of the respiratory system, symptomatic and asymptomatic infected patients are the main sources of infection. The incubation period varies between 1 and 14 days, although in most cases it is 3 to 7 days. The main symptoms are fever, fatigue, dry cough, but also nasal congestion, sore throat, myalgia and diarrhea. In this regard, performing swabs is becoming an increasingly frequent practice, for this reason we have thought of activating promotions to accommodate those who do it regularly. From 15 October 2021 the GREENPASS obligation comes into force ( which our facility issues within 20 minutes of the test ).

Preparation for laboratory tests

Creatinine clearance: collect urine according to the methods indicated for 24-hour collection and go with it to the laboratory fasting for at least 5-6 hours to undergo a blood sample.
Coproculture: the sample to be examined must reach the laboratory within 2 hours. To perform the test correctly, you need a walnut-sized amount of feces.
After : 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes, further blood samples are taken. While carrying out the tests, the patient must not eat or drink, must not smoke and must remain seated.
Duo test: it is necessary to have the report of a nuchal translucency carried out 24 hours before the blood draw. The test is performed between the 11th and 13th week of pregnancy.
Hydroxyprolinuria: foods containing collagen can interfere with the test, giving altered values. A collagen-free diet must not include: meat, meat derivatives, game, fish, ice cream, sweets and other products containing gelatin.
Semen fluid (Spermiogram): Semen samples must be collected after a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 days of sexual abstinence, with biological material collected in a sterile container.
Minimum oral glucose load curve (mini obtt) residence time: 2 hours. Method of execution: after the basal blood sample and blood sugar test, the patient is given a glucose solution (75 g of glucose) to drink and another blood sample is taken after 60 and 120 minutes. During the test, the patient must not eat or drink, must not smoke and must remain seated.
Standard venipuncture: it is necessary to take the blood sample fasting for at least 12 hours; in the days before, eat a nice balanced diet, do not perform physical efforts or perform unusual physical activities. Drinking water is allowed.
24 hour urine collection: equip yourself with wide-mouthed plastic containers, with a capacity of at least 2 litres, in the morning, as soon as you get up, urinate in the toilet and do not collect the urine, from that moment on collect all the urine emitted during the day, night and morning following as soon as you get up urinating directly into the container; bring only one sample of the entire quantity, communicating the total quantity of the collection.
Urine collection for microalbuminuria: the collection of urine for the measurement of microalbuminuria must be carried out in a special container. For the exact execution of the test, the first urine of the morning must be collected immediately after waking up, since any physical activity can alter the data obtained.
Search for fungi: do not disinfect the skin and do not apply ointments before sampling.
Look for parasites and their eggs in feces: the sample to be examined must be delivered to the laboratory within 2/3 hours of issue at the latest. To perform the test correctly, a quantity of feces equal to a walnut is needed.
Occult blood research: To perform the test correctly, a quantity of feces equal to a walnut is needed.
Throat swab: do not gargle or rinse your mouth before going to the laboratory.
Vaginal swab: do not wash on the morning of the exam.
Triglycerides: the patient must have fasted for at least 12/14 hours.
Complete urine: collect a sample of your first urine in the morning, unless otherwise indicated by your doctor. It is advisable to use the appropriate plastic container.
Urine culture: urine should be collected in a sterile container. It is advisable to carry out the test on the first urine in the morning following this procedure: wash the genital organs carefully; discard the first section of the urinary tract; collect the following urine directly into the container, being careful not to touch the internal parts with your hands; eliminate the last stream of urine; close the container and take it to the laboratory within 2 hours. Antibiotic and chemotherapy therapies can interfere with the outcome of the test and must be reported to the laboratory.
